SANDRA

As the founder of Two-Steps Ahead Tutoring, my goal is to elevate students’ understanding of mathematics through individualized instruction. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics and over eight years of experience working with students of varying skill levels, I have developed a deep passion for helping students achieve their highest potential. My background in mathematics, coupled with my ability to adapt to each student’s unique learning pace, allows me to bring a meaningful and effective approach to education.

I have had the privilege of tutoring students from 1st grade through college calculus, including those with learning disabilities, as well as providing support in other subjects up to 8th grade and preparing students for ACT/SAT exams. My teaching philosophy is centered around patience and adaptability. By creating a one-on-one environment where students feel confident to share their challenges and questions, I strive to understand their perspectives and tailor my guidance accordingly. My ultimate goal is to rebuild their confidence and empower them to move forward independently, pushing beyond their initial expectations and achieving success they once thought unattainable.

KATELYN

I am an avid gamer, manga reader, and casual artist. I love a good puzzle and am always ready to watch a good mystery. I have been teaching math for 6 years and tutoring for 10 years. I believe math gets a bad rep, but that if you put the work in, anyone can be successful. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you be successful in your math classes going forward!

JOSH

I’m currently a teacher for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. This is my 7th year I’ve been teaching grades 6-8 math and science. I’ve also worked for a tutoring center for the last 3 years tutoring 4th grade-9th grade math. Each year in my classes I have over 70% of my students showing high growth on their district wide NWEA assessment.
